Hear What Buyers Say
I’m here to look for new bathroom and kitchenware products. Our market is very competitive so I need new ideas, new patterns, new colours. This time, as well as the Chinese mainland and Indian suppliers, I’ve also seen interesting products from Vietnam, which is new for me. This show is very professionally run – the HKTDC organises my schedule in advance of the fair.
Liliana Artemisi, Partner, berenice argentina s.r.l., Argentina

My company offers a gifts service by catalogue, and I’ve been to this show many times. Here I can find suppliers from all over the world, and this means there is a lot of variety of products in terms of colour, design and so on. Staff at the fair are very helpful, the signage and other information, such as the directories, are good.
Hachizo Hayashi, Director, GIFCOM, Japan

We have been coming to this fair since 1995 – we have our own fine dining and outdoor tableware produced by Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland companies – and now we come here mainly because we can keep in touch with the market and to see what is happening in terms of colours, design ideas and so on.
Barry Nolan, Managing Director, JAB Design Australia, Australia

I am mainly here to meet with our regular suppliers to give them a better view of the market situation in Slovakia, so we can all work together. This has been very helpful. I visit many fairs in Europe and Asia and the Hong Kong Houseware Fair is one of the best organised. Staff here are always willing to assist me.
Daniel Cech, Director, Makro, Slovakia

I’ve been coming to this fair for many years – about 90% of my suppliers are from the Chinese mainland, with increasing numbers from India. Among the interesting products I’ve seen here this time is cookware from Turkey. This is a well organised fair, and it is good to find that people at the show this year are confident about doing business – this is a good feeling.

Exhibitors Trade on Golden Opportunities
The Hong Kong Houseware Fair draws exhibitors from far and wide. This year sees suppliers for the first time coming from Iran, Israel and Switzerland. World of Pet Supplies, in particular, has boosted its presence in 2009, attracting more than three times as many exhibitors than previously. All these new participants are keen to take advantage of the fair's reputation for achieving effective results.

This famous event is an important opportunity for us to introduce new products to the market and attract more buyers. We particularly use this fair to meet with buyers from markets outside of Europe, such as Asia and South America. We believe that next year, with the new HKTDC Hong Kong International Home Textiles Fair, we will see even more specialised, targeted buyers visiting our booth.
Rita Yu, Marketing General Manager, Delight Textiles Co Ltd, Hong Kong

We have been exhibiting here for about 10 years. The timing is good as there are many buyers in Hong Kong at this time of year – at this fair they can see the new trends in the houseware industry. This time we’ve had more buyers from the Middle East and South America than previous years. As far as the organisation of the show – HKTDC does a good job of promoting this fair.
Eric Ng, Marketing Director, Sun Cheong Industrial Co., Hong Kong
