“We are exhibiting in Hong Kong Houseware Fair for the first time to raise the profile of our cookware brands across Asia. Our German brand Besser Berndes stands for top quality non-stick cookware while the Italian brand Moneta is known for its cookware with ceramic coating. We are taking advantage of this fair to expand our Asian presence and reach out to more customers from all over the world. We’ve established contacts with some buyers from different places including the Chinese mainland, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and Iran. Further discussion will be conducted for business development. Among them, a Shanghai retailer is especially interested in introducing our brands and cookware collections to mainland consumers. We will meet again in Shanghai later to finalise collaboration. We’re here exploring business opportunities and look forward to building long-term relationship with buyers.”
Michell Lam, Head of Business Development, Asia Pacific, Berndes Kueche Ltd., Hong Kong
(Booth: 1D-C19)
“Kind & Günter is a symbol of quality in houseware and kitchen items. In business since 1948, we have factory facilities in Germany and the Chinese mainland to produce different products for customers. This is our first participation in Hong Kong Houseware Fair to expand our presence in Asia, a growth market for houseware products. This fair attracts buyers and exhibitors from different parts of the world. We’ve met with existing customers and new buyers. The response has been very good. Negotiations are under way with three buyers from USA and Canada. I feel confident that two of them will place orders after further discussions. I expect initial orders worth about US$100,000 from each of them. We’ve also got in touch with new buyers from Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia and Australia, which can bring in additional new business. We will definitely participate in the fair again.”
Thomas Kind, Director, Kind & G Corporation Ltd, subsidiary of Kind & Günter, Cyprus (Booth: 3G-C32)

“MySale Group is a leading online retailer with 16 million registered members shopping on our websites. We offer a comprehensive range of products in different categories while 48% of sales come through websites and 52% through mobile apps and iPads. Hong Kong Houseware Fair features a number of reputable and quality suppliers as well as a great variety of interesting products. I took advantage of the Buyer Forum in the first day of exhibition to introduce our business and explore opportunities with suppliers. The turnout was good and we’ve established many contacts. The business matching service provided by HKTDC also proved to be fruitful. We met with many potential suppliers for different products including stationery, kitchenware as well as innovative storage and DIY items. So far, there are at least seven really strong partners with good products that will help to bring in a strong potential amount of revenue yearly. I will be ordering a lot of items. It’s been a very successful show and we are happy about the results.”
Holly Moroney, Category Manager, Home & Living, MySale Group PLC, Australia
"KREZ is one of the biggest hypermarket chains in Bulgaria. We currently operate five hypermarket stores selling more than 70,000 houseware and hardware products from building materials to furniture, household & decor items, bathroom accessories and tools. This is our first visit to Hong Kong Houseware Fair to source good quality products at reasonable prices. I have met with many exhibitors at the show. So far, I've found four to five new suppliers and negotiations are underway to conclude deals. Among them, a Vietnamese exhibitor supplies a wide assortment of products including bamboo kitchenware and handmade baskets. I will place an order for a container of different items from it. I am also looking to place orders for home decor and bathroom sets from two Chinese mainland suppliers. It usually takes about two months to strike deals. This fair features a good mix of houseware products. I like it and feel satisfied with the results."
Ekaterina Tosheva, International Supplies Manager, KREZ, Bulgaria

“With a history dating back to 1963, our company has been famous for its fine embroidered home textiles. Two years ago, we launched our bamboo bedding lines which are eco-friendly and keep users cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It’s our third year at the Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair. The fair provides a great venue for us to promote our unique and novelty items. At this fair, we see increasing demand from South American buyers for our high-end decorative items. In particular, a buyer from Argentina will come back later to our booth to confirm orders for our embroidered table cloth. Through the HKTDC’s business matching service, we are happy to have met two potential buyers from the Philippines and Thailand who are very interested in our products and we are keen to expand into these new markets.”
Rishi Uttamchandani, Director, Paramount Manufacturing Group Ltd, Hong Kong (Booth: 3B-F02)
“Based on a relaxed philosophy of life and travel, our home textiles, furniture and clothing products are designed in New Zealand to be useful, beautiful and even a little bit fun. Apart from operating nine stores in New Zealand and one store in Australia, we also sell our products to Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, New Zealand and the UK. We have returned to this year’s Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair because we want to increase the number of our international customers. So far, customers’ responses have been very good. We have received enquiries from serious buyers everywhere including those from Argentina, the Chinese mainland, France, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates. We hope to build long-term relationships with them after the fair.”
Mary Louise O’dowd, International Sales Manager, Citta Design Pty Ltd, New Zealand (Booth: 3B-D13)

“Rokuinkan is among the top three TV shopping companies in Taiwan. This is my first visit to the Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair to look for beddings and quilts. At the fair, I have found potential suppliers of llama quilts, bedding sets and green tea pillows. I am going to place an initial order for 2,000 pieces of llama quilts because these items are rare in the Taiwanese market and provide superior warmth in the winter. Meanwhile, I’ll consider buying 1,000 bedding sets from a Hong Kong supplier if their quotation meets our requirement. I hope to visit the Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair every year because it is a well-organised show with a good mix of exhibitors offering high quality and nice designs. In fact, the fair attracts many international buyers.”
Eric Lin, Chief Strategy Officer, Rokuinkan Co., Ltd., Taiwan
“Based in Thailand, we are a trading company that provides hotel supplies to hotels all over the world. This is my first time attending the Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair. I am looking for all kinds of hotel supplies such as beddings, door mats, table mats, bath mats, slippers, wooden hangers, mattresses and toppers. I have found five potential suppliers from the Chinese mainland that provide high-quality bath mats, door mats, mattresses and toppers. These new contacts are important for our business development. I am happy to be here because the Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair and the concurrent Hong Kong Houseware Fair provide a good sourcing opportunity.”
Saengthong Pothong, Director of Sales & Marketing, Global Hotel Supply Co Ltd, Thailand
